This botanical cotton bandana's original design celebrates the dance between milkweed waving in the wind, monarch caterpillars chomping down leaves, and mature butterflies growing up to travel great distances to breed and then return to lay their eggs again on the leaves of the milkweed plant.
Our bandana washes well and is large enough to wear as a headscarf, neck scarf, headband, use as a handkerchief, or wrap gifts furoshiki style.

About Milkweed and monarchs:
Common milkweed, a native plant, is a wonder of the Midwestern prairies. It's a bold and geometric plant, with its broad oblong leaves and blooms like fragrant fireworks. Part of milkweed's intrigue includes its role as a major source of food for monarch caterpillars, who then miraculously metamorphosize and go on to enjoy nectar from other flowers.
Care Instructions:
• Wash in cold water with like colors
• Do not bleach
• Tumble dry low
Your bandana will seem stiff at first, but will soften a lot after the first wash, and will continue to soften the more you wash, wear, and use it.
